By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows: ALL PARTICIPANTS IN ROAD RACES CONDUCTED BY Endurance Enterprises LLC ARE REQUIRED TO, AND HEREBY DO, ASSUME ALL RISK OF PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT BY SIGNING THIS GENERAL RELEASE AGREEMENT: The undersigned athlete (Athlete) on behalf of himself/herself and on behalf of Athletes personal representatives, assigns, heirs, executors, and successors hereby fully and forever release, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue Endurance Enterprises LLC, Jeff Ruday Productions, the City of Alexandria and State of Virginia, National Park Service, U.S. Park Police, RRCA, USATF, any and all other municipal agencies whose property and/or personnel are used or in any way assist, all sponsoring or co-sponsoring companies or individuals related to the Event, together with their officers, directors, shareholders, successors and assigns (collectively, Releasees) from all liability to the Athlete and his/her property or resultant death, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of all or any of the Releasees or otherwise, in connection with Athletes participation in the Event. Athlete represents and warrants that he/she is in good physical condition and is able to safely participate in the Event. Athlete is fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in participating in the Event and hereby elects to voluntarily participate, knowing the risks associated with the Event. Athlete hereby assumes all risks of loss(es), damage(s), or injury(ies) that may be sustained by him/her while participating in the Event. Athlete agrees to the use of his/her name and photograph in broadcasts, newspapers, brochures, and other media without compensation. Athlete acknowledges that the entry fee paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. Athlete acknowledges and agrees that Endurance Enterprises LLC, in its sole discretion, may delay or cancel Event if it believes that the conditions on the race day are or could be unsafe. In the event the Event is delayed or canceled for any reason, including but not limited to: fire, threatened or actual strike, labor difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, flood, unavoidable casualty, acts of God or the elements (including without limitation, rain, hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake), shutdown of the U.S. Government, or any other cause beyond the control of Endurance Enterprises LLC, THERE SHALL BE NO REFUND OF THE ENTRY FEE OR ANY OTHER COSTS OF THE ATHLETE IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT. Athlete hereby grants to the medical director of the Event and his/her agents, affiliates, and designees, access to all medical records (and physicians) as needed and authorizes medical treatment as needed. Athlete understands that he/she has the right to refuse medical care and advice of Event medical directors and representatives; if Athletes medical condition becomes such that Athletes mental capacity is questioned, the physician has the right to recommend and initiate treatment of Athlete. Athlete agrees and understands that Athlete hereby assumes liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the Event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services. Athlete warrants that all statements made herein are true and correct and understands that Releasees have relied on them in allowing Athlete to participate in the Event. ATHLETE HAS READ THE FOREGOING AND INTENTIONALLY AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS WOODROW WILSON BRIDGE HALF MARATHON & 6K REGISTRATION AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER (the \"Agreement and Waiver\"). Authority to Register and/or to Act as Agent. You represent and warrant to Ticketsocket that you have full legal authority to complete this event registration on behalf of yourself and/or any party you are registering (the \"Registered Parties\"), including full authority to make use of the credit or debit card to which registration fees will be charged. If you are registering a child under the age of 18 or an incapacitated adult you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian of that party and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf and by proceeding with this event registration, you agree that the terms of this Agreement and Waiver shall apply equally to all Registered Parties. By registering a child under 13, you must first obtain permission from Event Director then agree and consent to the collection of that child's information which you provide for the purposes of registration. Waiver YOU UNDERSTAND THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT IS POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS, AND THAT A REGISTERED PARTY SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS THEY ARE MEDICALLY ABLE AND PROPERLY TRAINED. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT EVENTS MAY BE HELD OVER PUBLIC ROADS AND FACILITIES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC DURING THE EVENT AND UPON WHICH HAZARDS ARE TO BE EXPECTED. PARTICIPATION CARRIES WITH IT CERTAIN INHERENT RISKS THAT CANNOT BE ELIMINATED COMPLETELY RANGING FROM MINOR INJURIES TO CATASTROPHIC INJURIES INCLUDING DEATH. BY INDICATING YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT AND WAIVER, YOU ARE AFFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE SIGNING THE AGREEMENT AND WAIVER FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY, AND INTEND BY YOUR ACCEPTANCE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. Refund Policy For Half Marathon & 6k: There are absolutely no refunds from WWBH. However, officials at WWBH have purchased entry-fee cancellation insurance through TicketGuardian for all entrants in the event that either YOU cannot participate due to illness, injury and other situations on October 2 or WWBH is forced to cancel the event for weather or other acts of God or Congress. Claims through TicketGuardian, their terms and conditions apply. We do allow deferrals and exchanges. Athletes must process their deferral requests no later than midnight Sept. 3, 2016, to have your entry deferred to the 2017 Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon. As well, we will allow you to exchange your registration with any athlete up until midnight Sept. 17, 2016, through our website exchange system only. There will be no exceptions to these liberal terms so please do not ask. Also, please do not exchange entries with any athlete without our knowledge or you will be banned from the 2016 WWBH and future races. It not only invalidates the final results but it also is dangerous. In case of emergency, we will not have the correct information on the injured athlete which could delay notifying your emergency contact. For the Kids Race: There are absolutely no refunds, deferrals, or exchanges.
